It pairs the fast NordLynx protocol with a deep security toolkit: RAM-only servers, encrypted server boot, post-quantum encryption, a bug bounty and an open-source Linux app. Its no-logs policy has been reviewed five times since 2018, first by PwC and then by Deloitte.

NordVPN speed, apps and safety
NordVPN's NordLynx protocol, introduced in 2020, is built for speed, and independent reviews consistently place NordVPN among the fastest services. In practice that means smooth HD streaming, low-latency gaming and quick large downloads on nearby servers. NordVPN says all its servers have been upgraded to 10 Gbps. On networks that restrict VPNs, its obfuscated servers and the NordWhisper protocol (picked automatically on Windows) disguise the connection.
Apps for Windows, macOS, Linux (command line and graphical, open source), Android and iOS, plus browser extensions and router setup. Up to 10 devices at once on one subscription, with an automatic kill switch that can cover the app or the whole device.
